Prepare for a captivating day of artistic immersion at the Desert Plein Air Association’s “Quick Draw” competition on Friday, January 30th at The Gardens on El Paseo!
Morning Spectacle: Quick Draw painting Competition
8am – 9am Artists arrive to set up their easels and get their canvas/paper stamped, then begin painting.
Artist’s entry fee: $25 Pay fee below
9am – 11am Observe a rare phenomenon as our DPAA membership and other artists set up their easels in and around The Gardens for an intense 2-hour Quick Draw Painting Competition. Witness the creation of art... from blank canvas/paper to finished masterpieces. This inspiring live demonstration is free to watch and open to everyone... no registration necessary!
11:30 Artists bring their easel and painting for judging to grass area within
The Gardens!
Afternoon Culmination: Meet & Greet and Bid at The Gardens - Center lawn area.
12noon Join us on the grass in the center of The Gardens (free entry). Join us for an opportunity to meet the artists immediately following the competition.
This is your chance to acquire a truly unique piece of art, a tangible memory of an extraordinary live event! Your participation supports the artists directly and contributes to DPAA’s support of the tradition of plein air painting.
